Super Relaxed Hastoe Village Hall Wedding ~ Jenny & Dean

When I first met Jenny & Dean nearly a year ago to talk to them about their Hastoe village hall wedding, I instantly knew it was going to be an amazing day. I met Jenny & Dean for coffee and Jenny’s Mum came along, which was so nice to see how excited she was for the day as well. They told me all about the church and the village hall and what it meant to have the day there. Jenny had grown up around the area and having her parents still there, it’s where they wanted to get married. Seeing Jenny’s face light, which I’m sure mine did too, when she explained all the DIY wedding bits and pieces she was making. Her and her Mum had put endless hours into making pompoms and fabric flowers, not just for the wedding bouquets but also for the flowers around Hastoe village hall. To have a Hastoe village hall wedding meant they basically had a black canvas to work on. The hall has some lovely natural window light which bounces off the white walls, it’s a pretty perfect venue for any DIY wedding. Jenny & Dean had hung festoon lights from the ceiling along with home made pompoms, it looked AMAZING!!

The DIY wedding decor was just one of my many favourite parts about their wedding day. I loved how relaxed the wedding morning was with the help from Vicky Brown and Amber Campion who were doing the girls hair and make up. I love that Dean genuinely did forget to take the wedding rings to the church (don’t worry there was time for someone to take them to him) which is now the best story to tell their kids in the future. I loved the spontaneous clapping during the last hymn of their ceremony. I love how friendly each and every one of their wedding guests were. I LOOOVVED how delisuos their food was by Pickle & Fizz, honestly I’ve not stopped going on about it to anyone who’ll listen. I loved Deans speech, especially the part where he described the way Jenny reads books, it was such a little moment that shows just how much love he has for her. I loved the bridesmaids speech which had Jenny crying until the tongue twister was pronounced so perfectly that the whole room was cracking up!! And finally I loved starting the party in the evening with some great live music!

All in all Jenny & Deans super relaxed Hastoe village hall wedding was completely perfect and I’m so grateful to have been a part of it 🙂
