Emily & Rupert’s Sopley Lake Wedding
Emily & Rupert’s wedding on Saturday was a classic example of their wedding done their way! These will always be my favourite weddings to photograph and I am so lucky that my couples love to think outside of the box and make decisions about their weddings because it means something to them and not because it’s the done thing. This makes weddings so personal and it makes it so much fun to tell each persons different story in photographs. If you missed yesterdays blog post I shared Emily & Rupert’s legal wedding ceremony which was absolutely beautiful, you can check that out here. Whilst that was going on though Emily & Rupert’s friends were setting up camp for their wedding at Sopley Lake. This place is insane, they had it for the whole weekend, all their friends stayed over the night of the wedding, there’s yurts to stay in. There’s a gorgeous woodland area where Emily & Rupert’s friends gave them the most stunning and heart felt ceremony. Emily & Rupert both wrote their own vows which were beautiful and had everyone in tears. Then there’s the lake for everyone to go rowing or paddle boarding on. Needless to say I’m a very big fan and would love to take more wedding photos at Sopley Lake!
As Emily arrived with their daughters and her Dad their friend played guitar as they all walked down the aisle to meet Rupert right by the lake. Rupert’s Brother wrote a brilliant and hilarious poem which he read out and Emily’s sister had a super sweet reading. The ceremony could not have been more perfect! Emily, Rupet and the girls then got in the car, the same one Rupert had arrived in, in such style, the same car that his Dad had built with his own hands, and they drove away as everyone threw confetti! The afternoon was then filled with so much love and happiness for this sweet family, everyone was just having a super fun and chilled time! It goes without saying that these guys belted out some absolutely hilarious speeches and the night ended with an epic party!! This was my final wedding of the summer season and what a way to end such an incredible summer! Here are just a few of my favourites from their Sopley Lake wedding.
